Privacy policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains who is responsible for your data, what data we process, why and on what legal basis, how long we retain it and what your rights are, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

Data controller

Data we process and its source

We only process information you voluntarily provide through the contact form or by email, telephone or WhatsApp: your name, email address, telephone number and event details, including type, date, location, guest count and any message you include.

The information comes directly from you. We do not process special categories of personal data (“sensitive” data) or obtain it from third parties. The form includes a consent checkbox which must be selected before submission.

Purposes of processing

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a service proposal.
  • To manage the pre-contractual relationship and, where applicable, the contractual relationship if you book the service.
  • To send an email confirming that your enquiry has been received.
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as tax obligations, where applicable.

We do not use your data to send unsolicited marketing communications or create profiles. We do not make automated decisions with legal effects.

Legal basis

  • Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by selecting the checkbox and submitting the form.
  • Pre-contractual steps requested by you and performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) if you book the service.
  • Compliance with applicable legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.

Retention periods

We retain your data while the relationship continues and your enquiry is being handled. If no service is booked, we delete it when it is no longer needed to manage your enquiry. If a service is booked, the data is retained for the duration of the relationship and subsequently for the legally required periods, such as those under tax and commercial law, with access restricted before secure deletion.

Recipients and data processors

We do not disclose your data to third parties unless legally required. To provide the service, we use suppliers acting as data processors who only process data according to our instructions, in particular the hosting and email provider Hostinger International Ltd.

International transfers

The contact page includes a Google Maps map which only loads if you choose to display it. By doing so, Google (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) may process data and transfer it to the United States under the appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR, including standard contractual clauses and applicable adequacy frameworks. Apart from that voluntary interaction, we do not carry out international data transfers.

Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability, and withdraw your consent, at any time by writing to info@cuchilloyjamon.com and stating the right you wish to exercise. We may ask you to verify your identity.

If you believe the processing does not comply with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) at www.aepd.es.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Minors

The website and its services are intended for people over the age of 14. If you are younger, do not provide personal data without the consent of your parents or guardians.
